What is your Twitter handle?

@FPL_Terrier

Who do you support?

Huddersfield Town

Why do you support them?

I live half way between Leeds and Huddersfield so it was between those two. My dad started taking me to Town matches 25 years ago when I was eight and I’ve been a supporter ever since.

How often do you get to attend matches?

Last season I made it to every home game and three away trips. I hope to do the same this season and maybe even see us score an away goal!

Who is your favourite ever player?

There are a lot of candidates from the current squad but I’d have to go with club legend Andy Booth. Born in Huddersfield, he was just breaking into the first team when I started going. In his two stints at the club, he made 393 appearances and scored 137 goals. He is a Terrier through and through and is now the club ambassador.

What win in your lifetime means the most to you?

The 2016/17 Championship Playoff final against Reading. It was the perfect end to a fairytale season, earning the club’s first promotion to the Premier League.

Which goal meant the most?

The Christopher Schindler penalty which secured the aforementioned promotion, I must have re-watched it a hundred times over the last year!

Which team would you most like to beat this season?

Maybe Leeds in the cup? In the league, it’s nice to beat a big team but more important to beat those around us in the table.

Are you happy with your manager?

Absolutely, David Wagner has done an incredible job and exceeded everyone’s expectations.

Are you happy with your Board/Chairman?

Dean Hoyle is a fan first and a chairman second. He built the club back up from the dark days of the lower leagues and impending collapse to where we are now. £250 for a Premier League season ticket is incredible value too.

Where do you realistically think your club will finish this season?

Nothing about the last two years has been realistic, so who knows? I predict we will finish similar to last season but mid-table would be a great achievement.

What opposition player do you secretly admire?

Harry Kane gave us a lesson in what the Premier League is all about early in the season with some clinical finishing. Zaha and Arnautovic also caused our defence problems.

Is there a youngster at the club who could become a regular in the side this season?

New signings Juninho Bacuna and Ramadan Sobhi will be competing for first team football. Abdelhamid Sabiri looked promising at the start of last season but then dipped in form. He will probably get a chance to impress in cup matches. The problem a lot of our young players have is that the club’s stature has grown so fast, it’s probably a step too far for them to ever compete with the first team.

Who do you think will be your club’s top FPL points scorer this season?

It will most likely be a defender or Jonas Lossl in goal. There won’t be much between them, although Flo Hadergjonaj sometimes plays as a midfielder and created the most chances of any FPL defender from GW24 onwards last season.

Can you tell us about your FPL history?

I’ve played for eight seasons but mostly as a “casual”. Half way through last season, I decided to pay more attention and became aware of the Twitter community. Unfortunately it was too late to turn my season around but I learnt a lot that will help me this year. My best rank was in my first season, a modest 335k.

What would be a successful FPL finish for you this season?

Beating my best rank should be fairly easy. Realistically, top 100k would be okay for me but Huddersfield Town have taught me to aim high and have #NoLimits!

What formation do you generally favour for FPL?

3-4-3 is my most used formation but I like to keep my team flexible.

What is the biggest lesson you have learned playing FPL?

To do well you have to actually look at your team! Also, the value of banking transfers and generally being more patient.

When did you use your chips last season and was it successful?

GW4 – 1st Wildcard

GW32 – 2nd Wildcard

GW34 – Bench Boost

GW35 – Free Hit

GW37 – Triple Captain

I had moderate success with all of them but didn’t get the lucky big haul I had hoped for. The only thing I would do different is to play the Triple Captain sooner as I was kind of backed into a corner and ended up playing it to avoid wasting it rather than because I expected a big score. I wanted to hold the first Wildcard longer but my team started out really badly and drastic action was required.

Anything else we should know about you?

My highest ever gameweek score is 99 points. My cat made a final gameweek team and scored 121, entering the 100+ club on her first attempt! She is also good at predicting results.
